DAC 09
Digital Art Competition (DAC) is an event where participants compete with each other as to produce quality commercial designs. DAC focuses on those who are good with photography, still image editing, digital calligraphy and motion multimedia.The scope of digital art falls onto wallpaper designs, short clips, flash animations, 3D animations, web banners and commercial symbols.
DAC is hoped to be seen as a platform that nurtures talents of commercial corporate designs and as a medium which channels appreciation values to designers.
The continuity of Digital Art Competition 2009 is due to the success of the previous one held last year. DAC is proudly brought forward by Kelab Media dan Teknologi (MEDTECH). It is a competition that considers the human brain’s creative capability with today’s support digital art software.
DAC 2009 comes with the motto: “Harmonizing Art and Technology”. This motto conveys the meaning of merging together the high end technologies nowadays with human’s creativity and innovation to produce a high quality and unique design. DAC chooses this theme as to challenge the minds of those participants, to invoke them to show their appreciation and translate them through digital art design. DAC is hoped to attract MEDTECH club participants as well as other UTP students and staffs, and other higher institutions in bringing the club to higher level of acknowledgement.
DAC targets those who are good of manipulating image and multimedia creation softwares. Those whose talent being used by events that whirls in UTP and other higher institutions can now bring forward their product of creativity and be appreciated and valued by others regardless of interest. DAC will be a place for those who are skillful in animation or 3D art to express their skill on digital still image or animation art in a proper recognizable way. By having a target group, DAC gains advantage on the promotional part as DAC can focus onto several specific channel; art community, Computer & Information Sciences (CIS) multimedia, events promotional departments, etc.
