The organizer for the Digital Art Competition 2009 (DAC09) is Media and Technology Club (MEDTECH), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Bandar Seri Iskandar, 31750 Tronoh, Perak, Malaysia.

The competition is opened to all students of higher institutions in Malaysia.

All artworks must not contain any element of sensitive issue, pornography, politics, racism, discrimination, provocation or equivalent.

All artworks should signify on the themes given for each category. Artwork which does not comply with the theme will be disqualified.

Each registration form is entitled only for one category and one entry. Should you send more than one entry, please fill in the other registration form.

All wordings used in artworks must be either in English or Malay.

All artworks should be saved in a CD/DVD using entry code as file name, according to appropriate format listed in technical details. Fill in all the details in the CD cover provided. Each CD/DVD is limited to one entry only. CD/DVD and the cases are to be provided on your own.

All artworks must be original and shall not infringe any copyrights from any parties.

The organizer of the DAC09 reserves the right to publish any information related to participants and their materials without prior notice or consent.

The final presentation will be organized in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).All participants who qualified for the final will be presenting their artwork during Final Presentation.

The organizer is not responsible for any mishandling of the submitted materials (Eg. corrupted files; scratched CDs or DVDs mismatch colour, font incompatibility, etc.)

The finalists will be informed before 5th October 2009 either via short-messages-service (SMS), e-mail or official letter.

Decision made by judges is final and no appeal or objection from contestants will be entertained.

Failure to comply with the rules and regulations will result in artwork dismissal. Fee paid is not refundable.

The organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event should the offered prize is unavailable, without prior notice.

All related documents and artwork can be submitted to the respective person-in-charge or at DAC booth before 9 September 2009.Late submissions will not be accepted.
